Things That Make Me Snarf: The Very Secret Diaries

Holy potato salad, Batman! I am so sick.

I'll spare you the gory details because I'm kind like that. And there really aren't any; mostly I've been huddled under four blankets, shivering my pathetic little arse off. Yesterday morning, son says to me, "Aren't you going to work on the computer, Mommy?" and I shivered at him and said, "No." To which he replied: "Wow, you really ARE sick."

What can I say, my kid knows me.

So this will be short today, because when I am sick, I get cranky. On a normal day, I think Batman eyebrows are hilarious. On a sick day, I think it would be really funny to extract Batman's spleen and jump on it a little just to see what happens. I blame it on the medicine. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

So I've got two things:

First, have you voted? Because you should. We're in a very close race between the Batgirl versus ninja video and the Superzombiegirl costume, with the costume party trailing behind. Anyway, please remember that you have to vote in the poll to the right in order to be counted. Comments no count.

And second, I give you this week's thing that makes me snarf: The Very Secret Diaries. Fair warning that these are REALLY inappropriate. REALLY REALLY inappropriate. But I have to say that my favorite secret diary of all is Legolas, Son of Weenus. He may look like a vampire, but he's still the prettiest. And he has nice eyebrows.

Sorry, that's all I've got. Must go shiver some more.

I hope you feel better soon!

The very secret diaries are awesome. I caught myself putting the phrase "pervy elf fancier" in my nano book last week (because I don't have hobbits, of course).

Wow -- whatever you've got, it sounds like what a lot of people here have too. Half of my students were sniffling and looking miserable this afternoon and my own kids have it too. I hope I don't get it and hope you'll get over it soon!

Really, REALLY inappropriate? This I have to see. Problem is, I've got one of those multi-head-kerchiefed girls in a burqua sitting next to me. I just hope she doesn't look...

Vodka and Nyquil used to work for me but I don't recommend it for anyone else. you better just stick to blankets and chicken soup. Have a better weekend than today.

Sending the link of Secret Diaries to Hubby. I'm horrible. He'll probably read those instead of paying attention in class.

*hangs head*

And he might get kicked out for laughing too loud.

*chuckles to self*

I hope you feel better soon. Being sick sucks. At least you're not doing NaNo. Are you?

Sounds familiar...I'm just getting over that shivering thing. I'm feeling better today, so I'll send some get-well thoughts your way. Or maybe antibodies might be more useful... :) Feel better!

Feel better!! Sending good thoughts your way :D The shivers are no good. Jamie mentioned Nyquil so I thought I'd share a funny with you... Well I took the adult dose once and long story short I discovered that I have to take the children's doss of Nyquil. Yep. Sad. I know.

Yes I did vote.

Snarf in regards to the very secret diaries!

KM: 1) Thanks! 2) Thanks again! 3) Yep. Pointy hat trick is hilarious. 4) Because I'm nuts. 5) Yeah, it's because I'm nuts. ;)

KC: Thanks, sunshine. Would it make you jealous to know that I have a Secret Diaries t-shirt?

Mary W: Thanks, and knowing that most of your students speak Turkish, hopefully the diaries were okay!

Jamie: I go loopy enough on medication. Although it might be amusing for other people to watch...

Glamis: Yeah, the darned things are addictive, aren't they? I'm sorry to be a bad influence on you both. And no, I'm not doing NaNo. I had to edit the first 150 pages of my novel to make the ending fit, so I did that instead. Three times. Does that count?

Tabitha: Feel better thoughts going right back atcha!

Tiny T: Uh, yeah. I have kind of the same problem. I get really loopy on medication. Of course, I'm pretty loopy to begin with.

Christy: Thanks for the well wishes! As for the ninjas... do you know any? I'm curious to know.

adrienne: Thanks much, and I hope you laugh as hard as I did.

I voted for Batgirl. I know we're not supposed to say it in the comments, but this is something I feel very strongly about.

Very strongly.

Cuz I just watched Kung-Fu Panda with my kids.

(How would one go about emailing Carrie Harris? Should they want to ask questions about the submission process or something?)

Natalie: You just want to see what happens when I get loopier, don't you?

Elizabeth: Who doesn't? That's all I've got to say. Heh.

Keri: You have made me happy. Thanks for humoring me. :)

Brenda: Thanks for the soup. Did you make it in the crock pot?

BPV: Oh, talk about it in the comments all you want! But you have to vote TOO, because otherwise it's darned near impossible to keep track. So that's fine. :)

And if one wanted to get in touch with me, one could have their people call my people. Or they could go to my profile and get my email address from there. It's my way of protecting myself from the spammers!

"The Very Secret Diaries" were v.v. fun. And, yes, Legolas' entry is TOTALLY the best. Thanks for sharing the awesome link!

Hope you feel better soon (and Batman eyebrows regain their amusement).
