With the holiday coming up, I wanted to show a clip of one of my favorite Halloween movies. And there's no beating Army of Darkness.
Personally, I think Klaatu Burata Necktie has a nice ring to it.
I'm all about the campy horror flicks. I have no desire to see any of the Saw movies or anything in which the idiot sorority girl runs around in her undies and has to fend of the insane psycho killer with a pair of safety scissors, but give me the rollerskating vampires from Fright Night or Billy Zane doing the demonic cowboy dance in Tales From the Crypt: Demon Night, and I'm a happy girl. I like the vampire cheerleaders in Dusk Til Dawn and the singing zombies of Shaun of the Dead. Anybody else have some good recommendations for me?
I'm adding "make the campiest horror film ever" to my list of things to do. Because really, I'm all about camp, unless you're talking about church camp in which case I am less than pleased because my best friend slept with my boyfriend the last time I was there. I mean, really, you'd expect lightning bolts from heaven for that kind of thing, but apparently Ramrod was busy.
I'm thinking that there should be a lot of eyebrow shots in the movie. And maybe it should be a musical. Rollerskating Zombies in Love. Mmmm... I think I'll have to work on it a little more.

Personally, I love the fact that in the two movies leading up to Army of Darkness, (Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2), he goes to the same place with his girlfriend (who have the same name). Gotta love it!!
Your BF slept with your boyfriend at church camp? Seriously?? That beats my high school boyfriend jerk story. Great movie.
Ha ha! Great movie clip :) I'll have to watch it now. I like the same, Shaun of the Dead and such. I'm not into horror movies or scary movies, but the ones you mentioned I actually enjoy. I recommend you see Fido. It's a new movie that just came out recently with zombies in it set in the 60s I think. Funny movie :D
I love Shaun of the Dead! Just thinking "you got red on you" sends me into hysterics. I definitely need to watch Army of Darkness--somehow I've never gotten around to watching it.
You must see Dead Alive! Peter Jackson directed it (way before The Rings trilogy). It's about a son trying to deal with him mom turning into a zombie. It is sooooooooooooo awesomely gory and I think there was possibly a shortage of red dye #9 after it was made.
I love horror movies but it has to be the old style horror movies. These new ones like Saw aren't scary they are just gory and silly... Never seen army of darkness but it looks like fun so might have to find it somewhere.
I hate watching horror movies, but I completely agree on the campy ones. I love Army of darkness. It was the first in the trilogy that I saw, and it's still my favorite.
Never liked the slash and hack movies myself, camp I can deal with. my Halloween tradition involves sitting down and watching The Crow. Not scary but still a good movie where people dress up and bad things happen.

Where's Billy Zane been hiding anyway? After Titanic, he did this awful island film, never to be seen from again. I need to his demonic dance...

Darn Tiny T, I was going to recommend Fido - like Pleasantville only with zombies. Too cool.
Since that's been taken, the campest horror film ever has to be Once Bitten, a vampire film from the 80s starring (don't cringe) Jim Carrey.
I'm hoping they show some good movies on TV. Without cable, I figure I have a slim chance.
Hanna: I love the whole trilogy. They used to have Evil Dead Night at college; they'd play all three in a row at the theater. Oh, those were the days...

Fun video. Shaun of the Dead is my favorite funny/campy horror movie, but you already mentioned that. I think the first Scary Movie was funny, but after that, it all got kind of old.

Tales from the Crypt, the TV series is the best, with the delightfully awful Crypt Keeper. Technically, it's not a movie, but it makes up for that in cheesiness.
