BAD TASTE IN BOYS hits shelves today!!!

I used to dream about what this day would feel like. I dreamt about holding the book in my hands, and seeing it on the shelf, and going to the bookstore and taking a picture with it on the shelf while the employees debated on whether or not I was a total nutter and should they call the cops. I've held the book, and I fully intend to do the other two today. I'll let you know if the cops show.

But what I didn't expect was waking up to find the blogosphere alive with sugar lips and zombified book bloggers with plungers stuck in their heads. I didn't expect the thrill of getting emails from people who read the book or wanted to, and who thankfully didn't mind getting responses back in all capital letters and punctuated by 10 or more exclamation points. I didn't expect the videos or packages.

I didn't expect to make so many FRIENDS.

Thank you for being total nutters with me. Thank you for making me laugh, and for every single one of your notes and comments. If you ever need a laugh, or someone to listen, or someone to stand by your side during the zombie apocalypse and shout helpful things like, "AIM FOR THE HEAD!!!!" I'm there.

Thank you for being a friend.

Congrats, Carrie! I feel like you've been talking about your book with me for such a long time now, and it's exciting to know it's ALIVE AND FREE AND ROAMING IN THE WORLD.

Kind of like a bunch of hissing cockroaches, but a little more adorable. :)

Happy Release Day! I am going to try and wait until Saturday to pick it up.

Honestly if I don't then I'm going to stay up all night until I finish it and if I snap at one more co-worker because I'm tired they may force me to take a leave.

Which doesn't really sound that bad...

Yay, happy book birthday! I want to go out to the bookstore and squee at the book being on the shelf too. Though, the employees would think I'm weirder since it isn't MY book. ;)
This is a huge start of your awesome sugar lippy adventure. I'm excited for you! Congrats!

Congrats! I can tell you're really excited, and judging from all the buzz about it online, everyone else is too! I'm so happy it's finally out, and I'll probably be getting it in a few hours. Looking forward to all the awesomeness :)
(Anti-spam word: fatiocks. If that were an actual word, I'm pretty sure it would have something to do with ham.)

Kelly: Nothing is more adorable than hissing cockroaches, but otherwise, I totally agree with you. :)

Vivi: I second your WOO HOO! And I hope the book makes you snarf.

Kristi: YAY! Wish we could see each other in person, but this is a good second best. :)

Karen: Oooooh! Happy late birthday! Have some zombies!

Two Readers: Still giggling at your zombie pic! Sorry. Cannot comment coherently. :)

Renae: Oh yay! Thank you and I hope you enjoy it!

Caroline: I would like to join your fan club.

Marsha: No, I'm thinking it sounds pretty good, actually. But I'm biased. :)

Amanda: Thanks! Your copy should arrive to you soon!

Katelyn: Bloggers with plungers stuck to their heads are VERY cool. Just ask me. ;)

Taylor Lynn: Yeah, more like "completely and totally crazycakes." That's how I feel right now. But it's a GOOD crazycakes!

Lydia: I couldn't have said it better!

Andrea: Thank you!!!!

Ray: Of course I'll sign it, NNOD buddy. ;)

Tere: That comment gave me some serious warm fuzzies. THANK YOU!

Lesley: I think that's perfectly normal. Then again, my idea of normal is probably totally whack-a-ding-hoy. :)

Ashelynn: I think you are awesome. Thanks!

Mercy: It DOES sound like something ham-related! And...uh...thank you! :)

Congrats!

Just finished it. The beginning was a little slow for me (probably because I HATE football), but then I loved it.

And the foot. I just about snarfed at the foot. Great stuff :)
