Ahem.
Obviously, I'm excited about these. The whole process was tremendous fun, thanks in no small part to my photographer, Alessandra Noelting. And I learned a lot about myself. For example, whenever someone tells me, "Now give me a serious look," I immediately start laughing.
I'm such a goob.
So, without further ado, I give you the Wonder That Is My Author Photo!
I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. But the real pictures are here; I swear!
You'll have to excuse me. I have to go work on my serious face.

Carrie I love them!!
I love the laughing one the most because that feels like YOU, but the first one is simply gorgeous. I can't wait to see it on your back cover :)
Those are incredible photos. And they look nothing like the one on your blog. I kept having to scrowl up to double check if it was really you. Please put the laughing one on your blog. I love it. It's too cute . . . and who you are. Or more importantly. It's what we do when we read your posts. ;)
Agree with you both! The laughing pic is going on my blog and Twitter and such. The only way that picture could be better if I was snarfing milk out my nose. ;)
Thanks for the kind words!
Great pics. I can't wait one of them on the back of your book. The laughing pic is how I really picture you most of the time.
Adorable!!! And you look totally hot!!! LOL I want to see the rest!
Gorgeous!
Oh, Carrie! You're new portraits are beautiful! I especially love the one of you laughing, because that is just so you!
Aw! Gorgeous! I have the same problem doing a serious face...
<3 you!
Do I have to call you your royal hotness now? Why, yes, yes I will. Really beautiful!
WOW! Love the serious one. Very natural looking.
Ta-da! They're great. You look authorly and friendly in the first and fun, fun, fun in the second. Mission well-accomplished.
Awww. You guys are all SO. NICE.
Samantha, you don't have to call me that. But I might start referring to myself as Her Royal Hotness.
Hmmm. I think I better work harder on my serious face. I might need that.
You're gorgeous! The only thing that could make these better is a little crocheted zombie in your hair.
Beautiful shot. And I love the colour of that shirt.
Wow, what a great photos!
Beautiful photos.
hello - gorge!
I like the one of you looking down and laughing. It's like you know some inside joke and we can only find out what it is if we read your book.
I just found your blog from your post on Kiersten's. I love the author pictures! Congrats on your book deal, I can't wait to read it next year! Speaking of your post on Kiersten's blog, I'm in submission purgatory right now. Your post was right on.
Ah! Look at you with your pretty author pictures. Very nice.
Wow!
I LOVE them and you're GORGEOUS!
I noticed the laughing one as your icon on FB etc. and it's perfect!!
Oh, Carrie! These are BEAUTIFUL. The laughing one makes me extra-happy, too! Congratulations! :)
(I don't know about you, but I found the idea of an official author photo EXTREMELY intimidating. I worried about it for, no joke, months. So well done, you!)
You look beautiful in both!
You're all nice! I like you!
These pictures make you look very approachable and friendly! They turned out beautifully. Very exciting!

Great photos Carrie. Can't wait to see it on your book. :)
You are gorgeous. And the laughing pic makes me happy.
All I can say is 'wow'. You got it going on, Mrs. Harris.
Homina, homina!
Congratulations.
Wow, can I call you Hottie McHotpants now? I love them. I want so badly to do a goofball picture if I ever get my book published. I often practice my face and my husbands says I look scary.
Thanks, everybody! And yes, Kasie, you're allowed to call me Hottie McPants. But only you. Because you're special. ;)
And now you all see one of the reasons why it is so hard for me to leave for work in the morning!
Trippy...You are so Hottie. How does he let you out of his sight?
