Halloween Help--I Needs It!

I think I've finally decided what I'm going to be for Halloween. Unfortunately, Zombie Gaga is a little too scary for my younguns (not to mention expensive). I'll have to cover myself in bubbles and skin lesions another year. So instead, I think I'm going to be a sparkly vampire. By this, I don't mean that I'm buying a vampire costume and putting on sparkle makeup. No, I'm getting a pair of big horking fangs and covering myself with huge glow in the dark stars or something.

And that's where you come in. See, glow in the dark stars are great, but once they stop glowing, I'm just going to be a mom with fangs. Any ideas? I need something big and obnoxiously sparkly. If I could staple little disco balls to my clothing, that would be perfect.

Help?

And what are you going to be for H-ween? You ARE dressing up, aren't you?

No dressing up for me. But Dude, saw the funniest Zombie book yesterday - something and Dick and Jane and Zombies. Made me think of you!

The juice in glow in the dark sticks lasts for hours. All you do is break them open and rub the liquid all over you. I know firsthand because a bunch of sergeants did that during FTX at training and went creeping around during our night land nav course. IT's actually kind of creepy and people will be able to see you from hundreds of yards away.

I forgot to mention my halloween costume! I'm going to be my MC from my recently completed novel, ELEMENTAL. Basically, an emaciated ex-inmate with dreadlocks.

I like Emily's idea, I have none for glowing. I haven't dressed up since I was a child. But for my blog Halloween party, I am going to be...it's a surprise. You'll have to visit and find out.
Party starts Friday, Oct 22 through Sunday, Oct 24. Good thing it's a blog party. My costume would get stinky after all that time.

You are such fun. I wish I had a great idea, but it's early and my brain is still half asleep.

My sweetie takes the little ones out trick or treating. I stay home and hand out the goodies, but I usually dress up as a witch.

Emily has the right idea... just pour that glow stuff all over!! Hehe... or you could just buy light up stars, I'm sure they sell them in the kid aisle, you just buy the battery operated ones and glue/stick/duct tape them onto yourself and they'll flash all night!

I'm so dressing up!!! Would you have expected anything less?? I'm going to be little DEAD riding hood and my husband is going to be the big bad wolf! My mom is going to be Medusa, my sister plans on being something from the Renassiance times and who else knows what we'll show up! It's going to be one heck of an affair!

Use Spirit Gum to bedazzle yourself with sequence.

Cute idea, by the way;)

Find a green shirt.

Draw a "P" on it.

Paint black paint or makeup around your eye.

You are a back eyed pea.

Glow in the dark body paint. You can buy it in different sparkly colors.
I have some and plan to wait patiently till my husband goes to sleep so I can wake him up and scare the crap out of him.

Because...that's just good fun.

I totally wanted to be Lady Gaga this year, but like you said, it's expensive! I probably end up throwing something together last minute.

Emily's got the right idea... glowy sparkly!

It doesn't get much more obnoxious than a strobe light. Affix it in some way to your head, and dazzle everyone with more than just sparkles.

And what about somehow affixing just a butt-load of sparklers to your (hopefully flame retardant) costume?

If you're REALLY committed to the sparkly vampire idea, just attach sparklers to your fangs. At least temporarily, for some sweet pictures.

Or, ya know, this.
