Me = Awesome (and Semi-Egotistical)

Want to know what I sound like when I'm being kind of, sort of serious? Stop by the Enchanted Inkpot and read my latest and greatest on Humorous Fantasy. You know you want to.

I also posted a blog entry early this morning that you might want to take a look at. Go there; love it; buy the t-shirt. Of course, that would necessitate me making a t-shirt, and I'm not that talented, so I guess that option is right out the window.

But seriously... it struck me last night that there was such a thing as making a contest TOO open-ended, so I've decided to add a couple of prompts to the Zom-Com contest. You can use one of the prompts OR do your own thing. You can find the prompts at the end of the Zom-Com description.

I loved the article on humor and fantasy! Especially since you reference one of my favorite books ever (Dark Lord of Derkholm) and two of my favorite authors ever (Pratchett and DWJones). You have good taste!

It was a good article. Not as funny as your post about your son and his girlfriend problems (summer is forever when you are 5) but a nice article and I agree with K.C. about the authors.

I think all stories should have an element of humour, even if it is sliding towards bizarre on the laugh-o-meter.

I think humor makes stories more realistic.

Great article:) I need humor. I'm tired of all the depressing books out there. Gotta change it up every once in a while.

I love Terry Pratchett! It's good to know I'm not the only one that cries over his books. :p

I totally agree about the humor in fantasy. Those are my favorite types of books--stories that engage me, make me laugh (even to the point of tears), and make me stop and think along the way. I think humor is the spoonful of sugar that helps a sometimes painful reality go down, without us going down with it.

Now, if only I could find a tribe of Feegles to adopt. :o)
